Howzat for a training course?

TV CHEF James Martin, was in Leeds yesterday for the official opening of Leeds Metropolitan University's facilities at Headingley.

The 21m Carnegie Pavilion for Yorkshire's cricketers includes changing and treatment rooms and a media centre but also doubles up for teaching Leeds Metropolitan University students during the academic year. Hospitality suites and spectator seating also formed part of the development which is one of a number of improvements designed to keep the ground as a major Test venue.

Yesterday students were set the challenge of producing a selection of canapes, which were judged by Mr Martin and later served to guests as they arrived for the official opening.
