Hollywood comes to Yorkshire

Sam Worthington, whose films include Avatar, will star in the action film Hunter’s Prayer, and it is understood that filming will take place at locations including Harrogate.

Screen Yorkshire announced in July that the film would be its latest investment through the Yorkshire Content Fund. The European-set action feature will bring Hollywood stars to the region and filming will also take place in Hungary.

It is the latest in a long line of films to use the county as a location. The East Riding town of Bridlington has recently seen the arrival of stars for the filming of a remake of Dad’s Army starring Catherine Zeta Jones, Sarah Lancashire, Bill Nighy and Michael Gambon.
