Girl who fell down school stairwell dies
An 11-year-old girl who fell two floors down a stairwell at school has died in hospital.
Elle Hiscott was taken to hospital on Wednesday last week after the accident at Raine’s Foundation School in Bethnal Green, east London.
She died in intensive care at Great Ormond Street Hospital on Thursday.
An inquiry by the Health and Safety Executive concluded the school had “no case to answer”, according to Tower Hamlets Council.
