Facebook image traps serial killer

A serial killer was caught after he became a Facebook friend with the daughter of one of his victims.

Mark Dizon, 28, computer technician in the Philippines, was charged with killing nine people – six Filipinos, an American, a Canadian and a Briton – in three different robberies at hotels and homes this month in Angeles city.

The area 50 miles from Manila is home to many retired expatriates.

Dizon is from a well-off family and police say he was fascinated with computers and guns

He was spotted fleeing after the last shooting and a family friend of one of the victims, American Albert Mitchell who was killed alongside his wife and three staff, looked up Dizon's Facebook page, where Mitchell's daughter was listed as one of his friends on the site. He showed the profile photo to the witnesses, who identified him.
