ENERGY and Climate Change Secretary Edward Davey has announced £19m extra funding to help get innovative green energy ideas off the ground during a visit to a Yorkshire Water site in Bradford.
The visit followed his appearance as the keynote speaker at the Yorkshire Post Environment Awards on Wednesday evening.
Yorkshire Water chief executive Richard Flint, who also spoke at Wednesday’s awards ceremony in Leeds, said generating more renewable energy would help protect customers from the impact of rising energy bills.
