Fresh blood sought to grow sheep industry

Twelve people with a passion for the sheep sector are being sought as Next Generation Ambassadors by the National Sheep Association (NSA).

It is hoped that the cohort of under 35-year-olds will take a key role in growing the sector. Ambassadors may be asked to join a regional committee of the NSA, speak at farmer meetings, take on a role within the farming community or get involved in organising an event for the sheep sector in their area.

Phil Stocker, the NSA’s chief executive, said: “We believe the sheep sector has a very positive future and hope this project will strengthen that further.”

Application forms must be returned before Saturday, November 30. For more information, visit www.nsanextgeneration.org.uk or call the NSA on 01684 892661.
