SKIPTON & DANBY: The National Farmers’ Union is staging meetings with tenant farmers on Tuesday, December 8 to help tenant farmers manage current financial instability. YORK: An open meeting held by Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board to seek views on which of its levy-funded activities can help levy payers build better businesses will be held as part of an activity review by AHDB will take place at the Hilton hotel in Tower Street from 7pm on Tuesday, December 8.

DONCASTER: South Yorkshire farmers can learn about the benefits of winter cover crops at a free event being held by the Campaign for the Farmed Environment on Wednesday, December 9 at Adwick Grange, Woodlands, Doncaster. MASHAM: The next meeting of the Masham & District Agricultural Group will be held on Thursday, December 10 at 7.45 pm in Masham Sports Association and will focus on the work of the Tenant Farmers Association with the group’s chief executive George Dunn and chairman Stephen Wyrill.

THIRSK: Farmers visiting the Christmas Fatstock Show at Thirsk Mart on Thursday, December 10, can get a free winter health check between 11am-2.30pm. The checks are organised by The Yorkshire Rural Support Network, and both the Farming Community Network and RABI will be there to promote how they can help farming families.
