Elton’s glam rock garden

A painted gnome by singer Sir Elton John has been unveiled as part of the centenary celebrations for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London. The RHS has lifted its ban on gnomes to celebrate its centenary year and raise funds for the next generation of gardeners.

Gnomes painted by celebrities will feature at the show and then be auctioned off via eBay to raise £1m to fund apprenticeships, create an RHS Learning Centre at RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Essex and further support the RHS Campaign for School Gardening.
