About 80 supporters of the far-Right group were prevented from marching to the war memorial by around 500 members of the public, as well as supporters of Unite Against Fascism and One Sheffield Many Cultures.

Yesterday, EDL leader Tommy Robinson, said a “silent and respectful” walk and two-minute silence are planned.

He said on Twitter: “Due to the fact people were blocked from paying respects yesterday in Sheffield, EDL supporters will be back in Sheffield this Sat.”
