Driver runs in to herd of 50 calves
A motorist was treated for shock after running into a herd of 50 calves which had strayed onto the B1363 at Stillington, near York. Three calves were also killed.
The 58-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Yaris when the accident happened at 6.30pm on Wednesday. She was taken to hospital for a check-up. Easingwold fire crew turned herdsmen to help farmers move the cattle to safety.
