'Depraved' child porn man jailed

A man who built up and shared a library of 53,000 depraved images of child abuse has been jailed for more than seven years.

Some of the images collected by Mark Hough, of Franklands Village, Haywards Heath, in West Sussex, depicted abuse of toddlers aged under three.

Even after his arrest on suspicion of child porn offences, Hough, 39, searched for more pictures while on bail after buying a new laptop.

Hough, a youth worker, pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children, possessing with intent to distribute indecent images and three counts of voyeurism after he filmed women known to him in the bathroom.

Jailing him for seven years and nine months at Lewes Crown Court, Judge Anthony Scott-Gall also ordered he be added to the sex offenders register for life.
