Death at cliffs ‘not suspicious’

THE death of a woman whose body was found at the foot of cliffs on the East Coast is not being treated as suspicious, police said yesterday.

North Yorkshire Police requested the help of colleagues at Humberside Police after a woman aged 40 from the Selby area “intimated” her intention to go to Bempton Cliffs, near Bridlington.

A body was found at lunchtime on Monday at the bottom of the cliffs and was recovered by police with the aid of the Humber Coastguard.

It has been identified as that of the missing woman.
