Darren Day joins Hollyoaks
Actor Darren Day has joined the cast of Hollyoaks – as a new bad boy.
The West End star, who acquired a reputation as a "love rat" after dating actresses such as Anna Friel, Tracy Shaw and Suzanne Shaw, will join the Channel 4 show next month.
Day, who has also been a contestant on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, is to play Danny Houston, the best friend of nasty Brendan Brady (Emmett J Scanlan).
His character is also the silent partner in the Chez Chez nightclub run by Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh).
He will be seen from October 11.
