York city centre sex assaults - man arrested

POLICE  investigating two sexual assaults  within three days in York city centre  have arrested a 32-year-old man.

North Yorkshire Police said the man is being held in connection with the investigation into the sex assaults on two women in the North Street area of York city centre near the Park Inn.

A woman was sexually assaulted after leaving a city centre nightclub in the early hours of Thursday July 13.

In a second incident, a woman was sexually assaulted as she walked along the riverside path between Bridge Street and the Park Inn just after 12.30am on Saturday July 15

Anyone with information about either incident is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
