Police in Rotherham hunt flasher who exposed himself to young girl

A FLASHER who exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl in Rotherham is being hunted by police.

South Yorkshire Police said it was reported that the incident happened as the girl walked along Brooke Dyke in the Station Road area of Wath, Rotherham, just after 3pm on Monday January 25.

Investigating officer PC Christopher Hawke, said: “Although no one was injured during the incident, the girl was understandably left shaken and upset.

“We believe that the man remained in the area for about 20 minutes following the incident, and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who spotted someone acting suspiciously to phone police.

“I would like to reassure residents that we will be providing an increased police presence in the area following this incident.”

The man is described as white, aged in his early 20s, about 5ft 6in tall with short, curly blonde hair and is thought to have been wearing blue tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone who can help is asked to call South Yorkshire Police via 101, quoting incident number 672 of 25 January.
