Police hunt suspect with ‘high-pitched voice and distinctive walk’ after knife-point shop robbery on Christmas Day

Police are hunting a man with a ‘high-pitched voice and distinctive walk’ after a shop was robbed at knife-point on Christmas Day.

The robbery happened shortly before noon at Jay’s News in Grangetown, Middlesbrough. The man stole cash from the till after brandishing a knife and then ran off.

A statement from Cleveland Police said: “The suspect was wearing a face covering. He is described as being 6ft tall, with blue eyes, grey hair, with a high pitched voice and a distinctive walk.”
