CCTV: Masked attackers smash into Leeds couple’s home
CCTV footage released by West Yorkshire Police shows the armed trio battering down the door of the property in Pudsey.
Once inside they attacked a 48-year-old man and threatened his wife.

Hide AdShe managed to escaped and call the police and the gang fled empty-handed.
Police today called on the public to help identify the robbers.
Detective Constable Lisa Watts, of Leeds CID, said: “This was a terrifying experience for this couple to be confronted by these masked armed men and threatened and attacked in their own home.
“We are continuing to conduct enquiries into this offence and would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation.”
The incident happened on Tuesday, December 16, last year.

Hide AdThe couple were at their home off Tyersal Road when the robbers launched their attack at about 10pm.
The video footage shows three men in balaclavas and armed with iron bars first kicking the door and then hammering at it with their weapons in a sustained bid to break in.
It took them almost 30 seconds to smash their way into the property.
Police said once inside they demanded money before hitting the victim about the head and arms.

Hide AdHis wife was also threatened but managed to escape from the building and raise the alarm.
The robbers ran off empty-handed and drove off in a vehicle they had parked nearby.
The man suffered cuts and bruises trying to fend off the assault.
Although the men were masked, police believe someone may know who they are.

Hide AdDet Con Watts said: “While the men had their faces covered, one suspect’s balaclava does not cover the upper part of his face and together with his build and clothing we are hoping someone may recognise him.”
