Council to freeze tax for a third year
Adult services will take the brunt with its budget cut by almost £3m while services for children will be cut by £1.78m.
Council back office functions will also take a significant hit with a cut of £2.2m.

All councils are restricted by the Government on how far they can raise their council tax and those that choose a freeze qualify for a grant equal to a one per cent rise.
Rotherham Council’s cabinet is due to agree the authority’s budget next week with a full meeting of the council signing it off next month.
If given the green light, council tax payers living in a house in band A, into which the majority of Rotherham homes fall, will pay £820.02 for council services, with extra charges for the fire service and policing.
