Coalition fears ruled out

THE coalition Government remains strong and focused despite recent signs of disquiet within its ranks, the Prime Minister claimed.

Two Liberal Democrat MPs voted against the emergency Budget drawn up by Chancellor George Osbourne while Liberal Democrat Home Office Minister Lynne Featherstone wrote a blog this week in which she was critical of planed changes to incapacity benefit.

The Prime Minister insisted, however, that rebellions were inevitable but that "we need to grown up about this".

He said: "The Cabinet meeting we had in Yorkshire was incredibly positive."
