City artists’ work is put on display alongside Old Master
Wakefield Bridge c1798 by JMW Turner depicts one of the city’s favourite landmarks, the medieval Chantry Chapel of St Mary the Virgin and is on loan to the The Hepworth, from the British Museum.
Now, the work of Jennifer Payne and Matthew Charlesworth, two participants of the gallery’s recent Chantry Chapel Sketching Project, are exhibited as part of The Hepworth Wakefield’s opening display in the Yorkshire in Pictures Gallery.
