Charges over bull tragedy

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a rambler who was killed by a bull, police said.

Paul Waterfall, 39, of Stanford on Soar, Leicestershire, has been charged with manslaughter by gross negligence.

Roger Freeman was walking with his wife along a public footpath through a field in Stanford on Soar in November 2010 when the bull struck.

The 63-year-old, from Glen Parva in Leicestershire, died from multiple injuries.

Waterfall, who was responsible for the farm involved and its livestock at the time of the incident, has been bailed to appear before magistrates on August 21.
