Chance to have a say on council cuts
As local authorities across the country face up to the Government's public sector cutbacks, Doncaster Council has to make substantial savings and officers are currently working on plans which could have a major impact.
The council's chief executive Rob Vincent, who has been appointed by the Government to turn around the fortunes of the much-criticised authority, said he wanted people to be involved. He added: "We want the people of Doncaster to look at the services we provide and give us their views on which ones are most important to them. I hope residents will take this opportunity to become involved."
