Card recording device found on Co-op cash machine in York
The suspect device, which is designed to trap bank cards and record pin numbers, was discovered on a cash machine at the Co-op on Main Street in Bishopthorpe.
The recording equipment was thought to have been installed some time between August 13 and 17, North Yorkshire Police said.

Hide AdOfficers are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact the force.
PC Adam Fenwick, of Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would like to remind residents and visitors to York to be extra vigilant when using ATMs in the area.
“Check the machine you are using around the card slot and above the keypad as this is where the recording equipment is usually placed.
“If you see anything unusual or suspicious report it to the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”
