Cannabis farm left landlord with £2,000 bill

downstairs which also had fans and electric heating installed, while two bedrooms upstairs had been kitted out in similar fashion.

The electricity meter had been by-passed and police recovered 250 cannabis plants with a potential yield of 10 kilogrammes of skunk cannabis with a street value of 85,0000.

Matthew Gent, prosecuting, said 14 fingerprints were recovered matching Quaing Wang who was arrested at Heathrow Airport on February 1 this year about to fly out to Beijing.

Anthony Sugare told the court for him yesterday that Wang was not involved in renting or converting the property but was there for about 10 days as a "gardener" watering the plants, before he decided to leave.

Wang, 36, was jailed for two years after he admitted cultivating cannabis.

Recorder Jeremy Barnett said he accepted he played a small part in a bigger operation.
