Camilla wheels out jokes

The Duchess of Cornwall joked about her broken leg when she hosted a royal reception at Clarence House for supporters of a riding school for disadvantaged youngsters.

The 62-year-old arrived in an NHS wheelchair as doctors have advised her not to put weight on the leg which is said to be healing normally.

And she revealed her injuries are mounting since the tumble while hill walking in Scotland earlier this month.

Camilla, who was making her first official appearance since the accident, added: 'The leg doesn't hurt, it's the rest of me hurts. Unfortunately I slipped and hurt a tendon in this shoulder.

'I've got no leg and an arm on one side and no arm and a leg on the other,' she said.
