Book reveals some well-kept secrets

The volume, called Our Favourite Places: Sheffield, is set to be the first in a series of guides to cities written and produced by Eleven, a graphic design group based in Kelham Island.

It is billed as an "informed travel guide for curious folk" and, according to its authors, champions the creativity of independent cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and galleries.

Claire Hill, one of the team behind the 4 book, said: "Nobody has paid to be in the book. The places were chosen for their character and because they are run with love and care by people trying to do things a bit differently."
