Errazuriz Max Reserva Chardonnay 2007 Casablanca Valley, Chile, Waitrose down from 9.99 to 6.49 until March 16. This wine offers elegant, nutty, complex fruit, with just enough oak to add weight, not splinters. Great with fish and chicken.

Six Hats Fairtrade Citrusdal Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, South Africa, Booths down from 6.99 to 4.99 until March 6. Fairtrade Fortnight continues to offer well-made wines. Find smooth, cassis-driven fruit in this new wine from the excellent Citrusdal project.

Grand Terroir Montpeyroux 2006, Gerard Bertrand, Majestic, down from 8.99 to 6.99 on multibuy. A concentrated wine, full of rich, deep, peppery-spiced plummy fruit. Big enough to serve with roast beef or strong cheeses.

Lanson Black Label Champagne, Hoults, Huddersfield (01484 510700) 20.99. Rob Hoult seems to be undercutting everyone. His prices on Bollinger and Ruinart are also very keen.
