First Covid vaccines are administered at Boots in Halifax

Covid-19 vaccinations have begun at the Boots store in Halifax town centre.

The first person to get their jab this morning (Thursday) was Brenda Clegg, 92, from Halifax, who has three children.

Meanwhile, Calderdale Council say that people with mobility issues, who have a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at Boots in Halifax, will be able to park in the loading bays on Market St.

This is a temporary measure for people who might struggle to access Boots on foot or from the nearest car park.

JPIMedia publications across England are calling on the Government to let all pharmacies play a part in the UK’s Covid-19 vaccination programme.
