Wetherby High School is holding an open evening on Wednesday September 27 to give children and their parents time to explore the school, meet staff and students.

It’s a time for families to look ahead, and to make decisions which will form the characters and futures of young people as they plan their next steps in education – and their lives.

During the evening, Wetherby High School will also share more details regarding the planning taking place for a new purpose-built school building.

“This enables our students to feel safe to take risks in their learning and their development as young people.

“At Wetherby High School we are deeply committed to ensuring the educational experience for each student unlocks their full potential. As such our ambitions for them stretch way beyond their exam results and their time with us.”

The four values at the core of the school

Wetherby High School has four school values:

Know our children well - Being known well both as a learner and as an individual, means students feel valued as part of the school community.

Enjoy and aspire – Knowing students as individuals helps the school provide extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities that challenge and inspire them.

Character for achievement - Developing students’ character will support them in attaining excellent exam results and also equip them to be successful adults in the world.

Partners in learning - The relationship between home and school is vital to provide the challenge and support needed for students to realise their full potential.
