Yorkshire packaging and stationery specialist acquires trio of well known industry brands

Packaging and stationery specialist Duraweld has acquired the business and assets of three brands to strengthen its position in the sector.

Celsur Plastics, Ambroplastics and Abbey Stationery Products have now joined Scarborough-based Duraweld group following their liquidation last month.

Staines-based Celsur is a well known name in the industry, providing a range of pvc, paper over board and polyprop products and promotional gifts.

Duraweld has also strengthened its seven-strong sales team with the appointments of Emma Morris and Sharon Heath, both of whom have worked for Celsur for more than 20 years.

Led by managing director Mark Yeung, Scarborough-based Duraweld employs over 50 people.

The acquisition was supported by Sue Moul of specialist finance team recruiter Headstar in Leeds.

Mr Yeung said, “It’s exciting to further expand our customer base during a period of such strong growth for Duraweld, with the move strengthening our position as the go-to business in this specialist sector.”
