Planet Mark has verified that Stewarts has completed the requirements set by the internationally recognised PAS2060 standard, which involved producing an actionable carbon reduction plan and purchasing carbon offsetting credits to the value of the firm’s footprint.

The carbon neutral status was secured by offsetting emissions generated by electricity and gas usage, business travel, waste, water and paper usage.

Leena Nangia, chief strategy officer at Stewart Law, added: “This is the first step on our journey towards achieving net-zero emissions. We’re committed to intensifying our approach to sustainability and ensuring we have the right plans in place to reduce our impact on the environment.”

Stewarts will continue to work with Planet Mark as the firm continues to monitor and measure its carbon footprint, with plans for financial year 2022/23 already underway.
