YAMS 2023, the ninth edition of the event, will feature more than 200 trade stands, with every major agricultural machine dealership across the county having a presence.

Given that the early part of the year is the established time for making decisions on new machinery, any agricultural, forestry or ground care business considering such an investment would be well advised to pay a visit to discuss the available options or to seek expert advice.

As well as a wide range of state- of-the-art machinery, from virtually every leading manufacturer, this year’s show will feature more than 25 new exhibitors, further cementing its reputation across Yorkshire and, indeed, beyond as a not-to-be- missed occasion.

Among the new names who have booked stands for the much-anticipated show are:

• Ceres Machinery, from Cambridgeshire: manufacturers of materials handling equipment and cultivators

• Fall Timber, from the Yorkshire Dales: a range of timber products for agriculture

• Field and Forest, from Broxburn (Edinburgh): forestry equipment and plant dealership

• PK Sales, from Oxfordshire: a new and different range of grain and bale trailers plus manure spreaders

• Worsley Plant, from Cheshire: screening and crushing buckets plus demolition attachments

• Yorkshire Water: advice on water management in partnership with catchment-sensitive farming

• Rican ATV: a return to the show with Flonda ATV and UTV vehicles

The show officially begins at 8.30am but the cafe will be open from 7.30am, serving a full Yorkshire Early Bird Breakfast: the ideal way to start what should be a great day.

Show secretary Richard Tasker said: “We look forward to welcoming visitors to our ninth annual show and whilst we can't guarantee as good weather as last year, we can promise an excellent line-up of exhibitors and machinery, with many new products and services.

“We keep trying to make it a better experience each year and for the farming community to enjoy the social side of the event, which is so important.

“The major refurbishment of our Bidders cafe is complete and it will be serving hot and cold food all day."

York Auction Centre is located on the A166, immediately off the A64 York bypass: follow the signs for Bridlington from the junction. There is on-field parking at the site, with overspill parking well marked.

Alternatively, take advantage of an efficient park-and-ride bus service from Grimston Bar, which is signposted from the A64's junction with the A166.
