Viridas’s chairman steps down
Stanley Wootliff’s departure follows the decision to switch the company’s focus from growing jatropha plants, in Brazil, to become a natural resources investment vehicle.
Nicholas Lee, non-executive director, said: “The board of the company would like to thank Stanley Wootliff and those directors who stepped down on April 28, for their efforts in successfully steering the company through a difficult period, and wish them all well in their future endea- vours.”

Hide AdThe Leeds-based company said that shareholders at the general meeting, on Tuesday, had passed all resolutions, including the adoption of the company’s new investing policy.
As a result, new ordinary shares of 0.1p replace Viridas’s existing ordinary shares of 10p and were admitted to AIM yesterday morning.
