Three journalists from The Yorkshire Post on shortlist for Headlinemoney.co.uk awards

THREE journalists from The Yorkshire Post have been shortlisted for an award which has been described as the ‘Oscars’ of regional financial journalism.

Business editor Mark Casci, deputy business editor Greg Wright and personal finance correspondent Conal Gregory have all made the shortlist in the local/regional journalist of the year category at the Headlinemoney.co.uk awards.

Also on the shortlist is Hannah Baker of the Bristol Post, Jonathan Gibson of BBC Birmingham and Robin Johnson of Business Live/Derby Telegraph.

The awards take place at The Brewery in London on Wednesday May 6 2020.

Over the last 15 years. The Yorkshire Post business desk has won more than 20 awards. Mark Casci is a former Wincott Award winner, Greg Wright won the Headlinemoney regional award in 2017 and Conal Gregory is the current holder of the AIC Regional Journalist of the Year title.

Other journalists in contention for top honours at this year’s Headlinemoney awards include Danni Hewson of BBC 5 Live Wake up to Money and BBC Breakfast television.
