Three hundred jobs to be created in Yorkshire by home care firm

Three hundred jobs are to be created by a care provider to help provide its services to older people in their homes.

Home Instead Senior Care, which has 12 offices across the region has announced its plans to recruit 300 caregivers as the demand for care services spirals.

The global coronavirus pandemic has led to many job losses across many sectors, and many businesses have closed their doors.

Home Instead said it hoped to offer a jobs boost for people in Yorkshire as it looks for more caring and compassionate people.

In recruiting for these new roles, Home Instead wants to ensure that there are enough caregivers to deal with the increasing level of demand they are experiencing from both new and existing clients.

CEO of Home Instead Senior UK, Martin Jones, said, “The UK is under immense pressure due to COVID-19, and we want to ensure we can continue to commit to caring for our older clients especially following the government’s advice to remain at home and socially distance; which inevitably will leave many elderly people unable to leave their homes or see the people who they may usually day-to-day.”

He continued, “We want to harness the community-spirit and kindness that is being demonstrated all over the UK right now, as those attributes are key to our work force. There are so many people out there who could help us make a positive difference to older people through relationship-led care. We are urging them to step forward.”
