Straight wins £600,00 contract to help Northumbrian save water
Leeds-based Straight said the two year contract will benefit customers of both Northumbrian Water and its sister company, Essex & Suffolk Water.
The package includes a number of water-saving devices including flow-reducing tap adaptors, intuitive trigger-action hose guns and environmentally-friendly water butts.

Hide AdA water-saving kit will also be made available consisting of a flow-adjusting Tapmagic adaptor, Showermagic shower flow regulator, save-a-flush, five-minute shower timer and universal sink plug.
Straight said it will now be working with 17 water companies across the UK to help them meet their statutory requirements and promote water conservation.

“We should use what we need but not waste this precious resource. Simple changes in our daily routines and using saving water devices can make a big difference.”
Last month Straight said profits for the first half of 2011 will be below management expectations.
Sales have fallen short of management expectations as polymer prices rose to unprecedented levels during the first part of 2011, peaking in May.
