Straight ahead for growth

RECYCLING products group Straight told shareholders yesterday its order book has hit record levels, and orders continue to flow in.

The Leeds-based wheelie bin maker said its retail arm is seeing sales increase thanks to being appointed sole supplier of compost bins to the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation.

In March, Straight bought the bulk of waste company Helesi's UK business for 1.65m in cash.

Its integration is "progressing well and to schedule".

Chairman James Newman said as a result of this continued progress, the board is confident it will meet expectations for the full year.

All resolutions were passed at its annual general meeting.
