Spice appoints advisor

Utilities support company Spice has appointed a financial advisor as it seeks to continue growing.

The Leeds-based firm has named Hawkpoint Partners to assist Spice in its strategic review. The firm has previously said it will shift to organic growth and to "aggressively" compete for new business.

The review was ordered after the departure of chief executive Simon Rigby, the entrepreneur who built the utilities support services group from a single contract.

He has been replaced by interim chief executive Martin Towers while a permanent successor is sought.
