Spam-free – the online world of Monty Python

Development studio Dubit Platform has won a contract to create an online virtual world based on Monty Python.

The firm, which is the interactive arm of Leeds-based youth specialists Dubit, was chosen by games developer Zattikka to work on the title.

Chief technical officer, Matthew Warneford, said: "Being entrusted with a licence as popular as Python is a great privilege. The series and its movies have a special place in the hearts of people young and old and we're looking forward to producing a game that will do it justice.

"In the New Year we will be able to divulge more information about the game but until then we have to keep it under wraps. However, fans will be able to sleep tight knowing that the team behind the TV and film series have been involved in the process. "

Dubit has produced virtual worlds for clients including the BBC and Cartoon Network.
