Pushing the envelope

SCR Envelopes in Leeds has increased its business by 50 per cent following a merger with Lancashire-based Tower Supplies.

SCR Envelopes, which specialises in envelope overprinting, is to expand

its main site and production facility in Leeds to create a centre of excellence.

The site will run 12 printing presses on double day shifts producing over 500 million envelopes a year.

The enlarged company will have over 60 staff and two satellite offices in the North West and South East.

Steve Allott, managing director said: "SCR and Tower have similar objectives, business values, target markets and expertise."
