Plans to regenerate a gateway site given go-ahead by city councillors

Plans designed by LOROC Architects for the creation of a purpose-built Magnet facility at Sheepscar Interchange between Meanwood Road and Clay Pit Lane in Leeds, have been given the go-ahead by Leeds City Council.

Magnet is relocating from existing premises on nearby Meanwood Road into the new building which will incorporate a contemporary kitchen showroom, trade counter, warehouse, offices and parking.

Prospect Estates will be appointing a contractor and starting on site within the forthcoming weeks in order to hand the premises over to Magnet mid 2015.

Ian Rivington, director of LOROC Architects, said: “We worked closely with Leeds City Council to create a scheme befitting the site’s superb prominence on this busy intersection. The investment into delivering this high quality, big brand facility further contributes to the ongoing regeneration of this part of the city.”
