What was your first job?

Working in a NAAFI butchery department in Germany at 15.

If not in your present job what would you like to do?

My alternative career would have been medicine.

What was your worst mistake?

I gave up smoking years ago – my mistake was starting in the first place.

What would your ideal day be away from the office?

Fly to Monaco for the day and watch the world go by.

Name the one person that you would most like to have dinner with and why?

Julius Caesar – and I would ask what made you want to invade a cold and damp country.

What was your best subject at school?

Chemistry and history equally.

What are your hobbies?

Investing money on the stock market and photography.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Give some money to Nidderdale Plus and buy a new Aston Martin.

What is your top time-saving tip?

Make a list and delegate

What is your favourite time of the day?

Anytime bar the morning

What is your favourite garment?

At the moment, my coral Hugo Boss shirt.

What is the best thing about being in Yorkshire?

If I hadn’t gone to Yorkshire I wouldn’t have met my wife.
