Foresight Group announces a £6.5m investment into MSL Property Care Services

Foresight’s investment, from its North West, North East and WYCA (West Yorkshire Combined Authority) funded West Yorkshire SME Investment Funds, will support MSL’s growth plans.

Foresight Group was founded in 1984 and is a major listed infrastructure and private equity investment manager.

It manages more than 350 infrastructure assets with a focus on solar and onshore wind assets, bioenergy and waste, as well as renewable energy enabling projects, energy efficiency management services, social and core infrastructure projects and sustainable forestry assets.

Its private equity team manages 11 regionally focused investment funds across the UK and an SME (small and medium sized enterprise) impact fund supporting Irish SMEs.

This team reviews more than 2,500 business plans each year and

supports more than 250 investments in SMEs.

Foresight Capital Management manages four strategies across seven investment vehicles with an AUM of £1.3bn. Foresight operates in eight countries across Europe, Australia and the United States.

West Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority works in partnership with local authorities and business partners to deliver policies that drive sustainable economic growth and promote innovation across the region.

MSL received advice over corporate finance from KPMG in connection with the deal and legal advice from Yorkshire-based law firm Schofield Sweeney. The advisers to Foresight were Cortus Advisory, law firm Walker Morris and Catalysis Advisory.
