Deal saves jobs at Pindar division

All 27 jobs have been saved at a division of printing group Pindar after the management struck a deal with administrators.

KPMG sold GA Pindar & Son Ltd’s Agility business to its leadership team in an agreement that transfers all staff to a newly-formed company.

The multi-channel product marketing software business was a division of the Pindar companies that appointed KPMG administrators on July 26.

The deal includes the sale of the shares in Pindar North America which was not in administration, said KMPG. This operation has 12 employees who have also transferred to the purchaser.

Mark Firmin, of KPMG, said: “After a considerable period of marketing the Agility business for sale, we are very pleased to have achieved a deal that provides a future for the business and safeguards jobs.”

Richard Hunt, who will continue as chief executive of Agility, said: “The Agility business has grown by 50 per cent in the last 12 months. This deal is an exciting opportunity for us to capitalise on that growth.”
