Acorn Stairlifts continues to extend its global reach as sales and profits rise

Yorkshire-based mobility company Acorn Stairlifts has revealed it is continuing to extend its global reach, with almost three-quarters of its annual turnover now generated by export sales.

Results from Acorn show an annual turnover of £245.4m, up by £8.8m on the previous year’s trading. The results also reveal that the portion of turnover generated by overseas business has risen to 72.5 per cent, up from 66.8 per cent the previous year. The latest results – covering the year ended September 30 2022 – show Acorn continuing to

recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, with profit after tax reaching £50.1m, up from £47.9m the previous year.

Founded in Bradford in 1992, Acorn employs around 1,300 people worldwide, with recruitment ongoing to support its growth.
