10 jobs created as The Original Factory Shop opens in Bridlington

Local community retailer, The Original Factory Shop, has opened its new Bridlington store, expanding its store portfolio to 187, as well as creating 10 jobs in the local community.

The new discount department store is situated on Prince Street and will see the retailer bring a range of branded clothing and footwear, garden and outdoor products, pet products, electricals and homewares to the Yorkshire seaside town.

Michelle Ryan, regional business development manager, said: “The Original Factory Shop is a national business made up of over 180 local businesses, so we’re really excited to be coming to Bridlington and serving the local community.

"Our store will be run by local people from the East Riding of Yorkshire and we’ve recruited for 10 job positions, who are ready to start serving up great value products.”

The department store also offered free gift cards to the first customers through its doors.

Brands stocked at the store will include Adidas, Nike, Clinique, Olay, Ralph Lauren, Converse, Hugo Boss and Emporio Armani.

The store also offers a party shop service and a reserve and collect service to Bridlington customers and residents.

It is also running a set of special in-store only offers from opening up until the July 19.

As a result of the move, The Original Factory Shop will be creating 10 jobs in the local community.
