Father and son in chain gang
A FATHER and son will be sharing civic duties in an East Coast resort this year.
Shaun Marsburg, 44, is the new Mayor of Bridlington and his father Cyril Marsburg, 73, is his deputy. The former Royal Marine works with his father running The Haven alcohol rehabilitation centre.
Mr Marsburg senior said: “It’s just nice we are doing something together. I was a bit apprehensive when he joined the council but he’s his own man. He’s got a chestful of medals, he’s a right tough cookie. I think he will bring a fresh outlook – and he’s better-looking than I am.”
