“It’s a great time to buy antiques and they always add something special to every home,” says fair organiser Sue Ede. “This fair is very popular because we provide such a wide range of pieces, from the 16th to the 20th century, from classic and traditional art to Mid-Century Modern and decorative designer pieces.”

The fair offers something for all collectors and those interested in antiques and vintage items. You might be looking for a talking-point piece for your home or garden, something to complete a collection, a stunning piece of unique jewellery, contemporary or fine art or sculpture, or a gift with a difference. Whatever your tastes you’ll find plenty of carefully curated items from the last 200 years to choose from.

Specialist dealers

The Pavillions event, at Railway Road, Harrogate, boasts more than 45 specialist dealers, bringing together many familiar names from Yorkshire and across the North of England

You will be able to get expert advice from those in the business, but your purchases don’t have to break the bank. Prices start at about £20 and can rise to over £20,000, suiting the starter to the serious collector.

Some of those specialists will be offering ceramics, jewellery, period lighting, 20th century glass, Mid-Century modern art and designs, Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces.

Among the exhibitors are Walker Galleries from Harrogate: Jack Shaw and Highland Antiques, for fine English and Scottish silver; Peter Bunting Antiques which offers English country furniture; John Newton Antiques which specialises in fine porcelain and studio pottery and Carnes Fine Art and Rowles Fine Art which both show modern and contemporary oil paintings and sculpture.
