IT’S day four of the County Championship match between Yorkshire and Durham at Scarborough.

1.05: Play has been called off at Scarborough due to a wet outfield. The match is drawn.

12.10: The umpires have carried out an inspection and decided that there will be an early lunch at 12.30pm, followed by a further inspection at 1pm.

9.25: The umpires have said that there will be a pitch inspection at midday.

9.00: The umpires are out having a look at the outfield after the torrential rain of Thursday afternoon.

There seems to be a willingness to try to get some play but we await official confirmation regarding a start time.

The weather is the best it’s been all week, with glorious sunshine and warm temperatures.

Durham are 106-1 replying to Yorkshire’s first innings 340, with Alex Lees on 65 and Scott Borthwick 29.

Yorkshire are also expected to find out today their fate regarding sanctions over the racism scandal.

The Cricket Discipline Commission is set to announce its verdict after the club pleaded guilty to four amended charges.
