The team came through a tricky first test in the new Level 2 league system clutching a 66-42 (10 points to 2) victory against a well organised Appleton Roebuck side. Club debutant Daryl Young, teamed with Paul Blackett , made a solid start to the season with 20 games and 1.5 points.
Pocklngton Runners hosted the first race in this years York Road Race League.
As the week warmed up, so did the tennis, with some close fought tennis matches at all levels in the Driffield and Fulford Leagues.
